The 2011-2012 season of the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) series kicked off in California last month. And the second stop passed near us this weekend.
The Dallas Convention Center was once again filled with the latest new bikes, riding gear and stunt riders. The coolest new motorcycles on display were from Europe.
The Ducati 1199 Panigale (see below) was fresh off the boat from Italy and was quite a head-turner. Generating nearly 100 horsepower per cylinder Ducati is raising the bar for Superbikes once again.
The Triumph booth also had a fresh face on display- the new Tiger Explorer. With a 1200cc engine and shaft drive it's plain to see Triumph is going after the best-selling BMW ever. From what we saw on display it appears Triumph has a made a serious effort to crack the adventure market.
