Ducati Recalls Diavel for Loose License Plates

Ducati is recalling some 2011 Diavels manufactured between Sept. 23 and May 12.

Ducati DiavelBrass inserts installed in the chain guard may deform over time, resulting in the possible loosening of the license plate holder retaining screws on the rear swingarm. It's possible this could cause the license plate holder to become loose during normal operations. Loosening of the license plate holder could interfere with the motorcycle’s rear wheel rotation and thereby increase the risk of a crash.

Ducati dealers will replace the chain guard with an updated version, manufactured with steel inserts. The repair/service will be provided at no charge to the owner. The number of bikes affected is 964.
