We are putting together a very special memorial ride to honor our veterans that never returned home from Vietnam. Although many of the remains of soldiers were recovered there are still far too many that were not. No one knows for sure what happened to them and that is a hard fact to deal with for their families and their brothers and sisters of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. It is for this reason we are planning and hosting what we will call the "Charlie Mike" Memorial Ride.
The ride will take place in North Carolina covering over 1,000 miles in a 24 hour time period. We will ride near the hometowns of every Vietnam veteran from North Carolina who has not been brought home. The ride will begin at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Lillington, NC with a blessing of the bikes and riders on Friday August 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. and will finish at the same park the following day at the same time. We will be inviting family members of the Veterans to our closing ceremony where we will have a remembrance party to celebrate the life and sacrifices of all soldiers.
